Sheriff Jeff Bledsoe
 Sheriff Bledsoe was elected to a four year term September 2010. Prior to his election he served as deputy sheriff. Jeff has served in numerous law enforcement positions; patrolman, detective of criminal investigations and narcotics detective, and Special Deputy, U.S. Marshal.
Sheriff Bledsoe has had extensive training over a 24 year law enforcement career including classes though the FBI, St. Petersburg Community College, and the University of North Florida Institute of Police Technology and Management.

Duties of the Sheriff
The Sheriff’s office is responsible for protecting life and property for the citizens of Dickson County and preserving the public peace. The sheriff must enforce state laws, prevent crime, process civil actions, and coordinate emergency services. His duties include apprehending criminals, supervising and caring for incarcerated prisoners, and providing security for the courts, county employees, and the public visiting county facilities.
The sheriff’s office is committed to providing effective professional law enforcement services in a humane and cost-efficient manner, while supporting positive development within our communities and our youth population.
