Nancy Miller was appointed Clerk & Master in July 1977 after serving as Chief Deputy for 4 years. She graduated from Charlotte High School and has earned the County Officials Training Certificate as a Certified Public Administrator. She is married to Mart Miller. They have two children; Shannon and Scott and four grandchildren; Caroline, Miller, Allen, and Lainey.

Duties of the Clerk & Master

The Clerk & Master’s office deals with all types of civil cases such as divorces, custody, child support, adoptions, worker’s compensation, contracts, debts, and property disputes. The Clerk & Master acts as the principal administrative aide to the Chancery Court, provides assistance in the areas of the courtroom administration and records management, docket maintenance, revenue management, maintenance of  court minutes. The Clerk & Master also has the duty of collection of Delinquent Taxes.
