Inmates in the Dickson County Jail are allowed to receive a package from
outside, as long as this package is delivered to the jail with 72 hours of
the inmates incarceration. This package is limited to the following items:
Personal Hygiene Tobacco
Bar of Soap (1 each) Cigarettes (5 packs) OR
Deodorant (1 each) Cigars (10 maximum) OR
Shampoo (1 bottle) Chewing Tobacco (3 cans/pks OR
Comb or Brush (1 each) Dip (3 cans)
Clothing Items Miscellaneous
Socks, white only (3 pair) Envelopes (1 box)
T-shirts, white only (3 each) Postage Stamps (1 book)
Underwear, white only (3 each) Writing Paper (1 pack, loose leaf)
White thermal underwear (1 set) Ink Pen/Pencil (1 each)
Thongs/Sandals (1 pair) Books/Magazines (2 each, paperback)
Tennis shoes (1 pair)
Wash cloth, white (1 each)
Bath towel, white (1 each)
All packages and containers must be factory sealed with all seals intact.
Only items on this list will be accepted. No other items will be allowed
into the facility. Clothing items may be exchanged every three months. Old
clothing must be sent out before new clothing be sent in.
All inmates in the Dickson County Jail have access to the commissary. There
is no money allowed into the jail. When an inmate is admitted to the jail,
any money they have is deposited into their commissary account. Inmates can
receive money for their commissary from the outside, however, the money must
be in the form of a money order made out to the Dickson County Commissary
Custodian. Cash or checks will not be accepted. The Commissary Custodiam
must receive the money order at or prior to 1:00 p.m. each Monday to be able
to order on Tuesday.
