The Sheriff's Office Staff meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month to discuss new problems and to see if last months problems have been solved. Minutes of the meetings are taken to assure that there are no mistake as to who said what and what the discussion was to correct the problem. After the meeting the minutes are typed up and sent to each staff member to review and sign, Each staff member then adds that information to his monthly meeting to be held with each shift or department. Using this format the Sheriff's Office has become more stream lined in dealing with problems. No office wide policy is changed until it has been discussed in the staff meetings to assure that it will not adversely affect any shift. Communication between the Staff and all Sheriff's Office personnel have improved greatly as a result of this policy and morale has also improved. |
