Rock Church of Christ
The building was constructed about 1826 by Montgomery Bell, prominent ironmaster in Dickson County, at the site of the Bellview Furnace. It is believed to have been either a forge building or a charcoal storehouse. After the furnace creased operation in 1834, Bell continued to own the property until 1855. Records show that the following year the Bellview Church of Christ and the Bellview School were housed there. In October 1874 the property was deeded to the elders of the church, and by 1919, deed records show it was then referred to as the Rock Church of Christ. The congregation has continuously worshipped at this site for 152 years.
